If you’re heading to Lisbon and you’re a vegetarian, fear not – there are cheap vegetarian hotels in Lisbon perfectly suited to your needs. Generally not famed as a city that’s welcoming to veggies, you’ll be surprised at what Lisbon has to offer. When visiting a city, it’s helpful to have a hotel with good quality vegetarian and vegan food for when you’re not out exploring Lisbon’s best veggie restaurants. You don’t want to have to survive on bread, devour your entire stash of muesli bars, or bring your own food in Tupperware containers before finding the perfect place to eat!

So, we’ve scoured the Portuguese capital and found our four favourite cheap vegetarian hotels and accommodation options that will start you off on your next Lisbon break….

Sheraton Lisboa Hotel & Spa

One of the most well-known and fabulous five-star hotels in Lisbon is also quite reasonably priced – from EUR 90 per night. It’s a short walk away from some of Lisbon’s most popular museums, shopping areas and theatres. The ground floor Panorama Restaurant gives you plenty of reason to stay in, with its gourmet vegetarian and vegan, options and amazing variety of international cuisine.

Altis Park Hotel

Where: Av Eng Arantes de Oliveira 9, Lisbon, 1900-221

A comfortable four-star cheap hotel in Lisbon, the Altis Park Hotel is conveniently located near Parque Olaias subway station for easy access to the city. Guests are treated to a complimentary buffet breakfast and a good range of tasty, cheap vegetarian meals are available in their restaurant including Green Lasagna ‘Florentina’ and stuffed Cannelloni.

Hotel Botânico

Where : Rua Mãe de Água 16-20, 1250-156 Lisbon

This beautiful hotel is ideally located for shopaholics. It’s in the centre of Lisbon, between between the Jardim Botânico and the Avenida da Liberdade. It’s within easy walking distance from the metro and the city centre. Hotel Botânico has a generous buffet breakfast and a cheap, high-quality vegetarian restaurant directly across the road for any veggies who don’t want to go too far for a tasty meal.

Corgo do Pardieiro

Where: Amoreiras-Gare, 7630-514 Odemira Municipality, Portugal 

Located in Portugal’s rural south west, in the region of Odemira and Ourique, the Corgo do Pardieiro is perfectly located for a retreat from the city. Being just a train ride away from Lisbon (or around two hours by car), it’s also easy to reach. You have the option to stay in a double studio apartment with its own wood stove, to camp in a tent or even bring your own caravan. Whatever you choose, you’ll wake to freshly baked bread and an assortment of vegetarian or vegan options. Corgo do Pardieiro is surrounded by the Alentejan hills, close to beaches, lakes, beautiful trees and villages.
